In the whole process of
conveyor belt use, vulcanized rubber will age and fall off. There are many reasons for conveyor belt aging. Now, let's see
1 Oxygen: Oxygen reacts in vulcanized rubber through the molecular structure of vulcanized rubber, producing a chain reaction based on mineral acids. Molecular structure chain break or excessive chemical crosslinking, resulting in the change of vulcanized rubber properties. Chemical action is one of the main causes of vulcanized rubber aging.
Reactive oxygen species: THE organic chemical specificity of reactive oxygen species is much higher than that of oxygen, which is more destructive. The effect of reactive oxygen species on vulcanized rubber varies with the deformation of vulcanized rubber. When used as deformation vulcanized rubber (mainly unsaturated fat vulcanized rubber), cracks perpendicular to the direction of ground stress, namely "reactive oxygen cracking"; When used as deformation vulcanized rubber, only the surface layer is transformed into air oxide film without cracking.
Heat: temperature increase will cause catalytic cracking or thermochemical crosslinking of vulcanized rubber. But the basic function of heat is still active. It is a common phenomenon of thermal oxygen aging to increase the oxygen diffusion rate and reactive REDOX reaction rate of vulcanized rubber, and then accelerate the REDOX reaction rate of vulcanized rubber.
4 Light: the less microwave, the more kinetic energy. It is ultraviolet light with high kinetic energy that destroys vulcanized rubber. Due to the light and light absorption in the rubber molecular structure, the whole molecular chain in the vulcanization process of rubber immediately occurs oxidation and light absorption. Ultraviolet rays play a role in heating. Another characteristic of the light function (as opposed to the heat function) is that it is critical to grow on the rubber surface. For the specimens with high adhesive content, there will be network cracks on both sides, that is, "mild surface cracks".
