For the operation of transport aircraft, the quality of hopper design has a direct impact on the operation efficiency, and to some extent, the construction progress of construction enterprises will be affected. This paper introduces the design principle of receiving hopper of belt conveyor.
1. The principle of feeding
In the process of mine construction, the principle of belt conveyer slipping refers to the material to be sent slowly to the corresponding receiving belt, to prevent the material from falling to the receiving belt by means of vertical direct impact. The principle and purpose of running material is to prevent the impact of the material to the belt, avoid the phenomenon of sputtering material, and extend the service life of the belt conveyor.

In the mine construction operation, in order to strengthen the wear resistance of the hopper, not only the steel plate is used to make the hopper, but also the wear-resistant lining board is installed inside the hopper. Even so, in the mine construction, the material is hard, sharp and sharp, and the continuous operation every day, shortening the service life of the hopper. In order to make the material hopper of belt conveyor in mine operation longer service life, more wear-resistant, it is necessary to properly design the shape structure of the receiving hopper, to a certain extent to ensure that the material in the receiving hopper is transmitted, so that the material to be transmitted does not fall directly on the wall of the receiving hopper, but directly on the material hidden in the bucket. In this way, the material is not in direct contact with the receiving hopper, thus reducing the friction on the receiving hopper, which is the principle of abrasive material.

First, when the material is transferred between the two belts, it will cause greater impact on the material belt, which is not only easy to splash, but also increases the workload of the cleaning personnel, thus shortening the service life of the belt.
Second, the drop between the two belts increases the impact and wear on the hopper, so that the hopper is easy to wear through.
Third, the ore in the mine construction may encounter relatively wet situation, then the material transport is often viscous and easy to stick together, resulting in plugging, when the plugging situation occurs after the operator has to knock, chisel way to cut the plugging, which not only increases the workload, but also seriously affects the production efficiency of the mine construction.
The central surface of each receiving belt of the belt conveyor is designed to be vertical receiving hopper. If the two central surfaces are perpendicular to each other, the direction of material movement will be perpendicular to the direction of movement of the receiving belt, the two central surfaces are perpendicular to the case. This design not only needs to take into account the friction between materials, but also needs to consider whether the direction of movement is consistent. First, if the material drop is relatively small, viscosity is relatively large, there is no need to design the receiving hopper. The reason is that the design of the receiving hopper will cause the situation of sticky material. Usually, a vertical baffle can be placed under the head wheel. Second, if the material drop is relatively large, viscosity is also relatively large. The design can make the material contact with the material belt, can avoid the occurrence of material adhesion, avoid material sputtering.
